You get a DVD! YOU get a DVD! EVERYBODY gets a DVD!
Oprah Winfrey and friends are making sure the hard-fought civil rights victories of the past are known for generations to come. Paramount Home Media Distribution announced today that every high school in the U.S. will receive a FREE DVD of the Academy Award-winning film Selma.
Selma, co-produced by Oprah Winfrey and directed by Ava DuVernay, is a historical drama based on the 1965 Selma to Montgomery voting rights marches led by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
In addition to the film, teachers will also have access to a free companion study guide.
