To use, rub a drop or two of peppermint oil on the temples or over sinuses if you’re treating a headache or apply to the inflamed or itchy area of the skin that needs to be treated.
If you suffer from a cold, you can place a drop of peppermint oil on the tongue. You can also inhale peppermint through your nostrils to help relieve congestion.
Essential Oils for Seasonal Allergy: Lavender
Much like peppermint oil, lavender oil is a multi-purpose essential oil that has many benefits.
Commonly known for its relaxing effects on the mind and body, lavender oil can help treat skin conditions as a result of seasonal allergies, such as eczema or dermatitis.
I personally suffer from this myself around this time of the year. It happens to me in the fall season as well. I can attest to lavender helping heal my skin condition.
To help treat eczema, simply mix several drops of lavender oil with a carrier oil. You can use oils such as coconut oil or raw shea butter. Use topically on the skin condition.
