‘Twin Docs’ Show Premiere: Real Talk, No Co-Pay

Mark your calendars and tune in tonight! Sept. 15 marks the premiere of Second Opinion with the Twin Docs, a brand-new FOX show hosted by Chicago-based twin OB-GYNs Dr. J and Dr. I. With a mission to bust health myths and offer clear, expert advice, the show promises a fresh take on today’s most talked about medical topics.

While the Twin Docs may be new to some viewers as the show debuts, members of the BlackDoctor.org community have been enjoying office hours with Dr. J and Dr. I going back more than a decade. Whether they have been hosts, guests, or frequent visitors, the Twin Docs have been some of the most popular doctors on the site.

BlackDoctor.org recently caught up with the Twin Docs as they share more details on what to expect on ‘Second Opinion’ and answer questions from the BDO Community.

Real Doctors, Real Talk

As practicing OB-GYNs, Dr. J and Dr. I bring not just double the credentials, but double the charisma. The identical twins are well-known in Chicago’s medical and media circles for their approachable style, evidence-based insights, and passion for empowering patients — and now viewers.

“We’re here to cut through the noise,” says Dr. I. “People are bombarded with health advice online, but not all of it is rooted in fact. Our goal is to make expert-level information relatable and easy to digest.”

When asked why viewers should watch the show, Dr. I delivered the answer in the warm and hilarious style that they have come to be known for.

“We’re going to give you the medicine you need, we’re going to make it kind of fun, it won’t be like going to the actual doctor — and you don’t have to pay a co-pay,” Dr. I told Fox32.com

Dr. J continued: “…And we are going to tell you things that sometimes the docs wont tell you.”

In fact, in getting guests for the show, the duo found that many doctors were not given approvals to appear on their show. That’s where their show can fill the void, Dr. J says: “We’ll tell you the things you need to hear, but maybe wont always hear from larger sources.”

Each episode of Second Opinion with the Twin Docs dives into trending topics in health and wellness —  from viral nutrition trends and women’s health issues to common misconceptions about pregnancy, birth control, mental health, and more. They plan to tackle medical myths, take timely health questions,  give relatable advice to real stories and to spotlight Chicagoans making a difference in health and wellness.

Though deeply rooted in Chicago, Second Opinion is geared toward a national audience. “Chicago is our home, but these conversations are universal,” says Dr. J. “We want to empower people — especially women — to ask better questions and feel confident about their health decisions.”

How to Watch

Second Opinion with the Twin Docs broadcasts live on FOX32Chicago.com and the FOX Local app (available on Roku, Amazon FireTV, Apple TV, Vizio TV, and Google Android TV). Follow the Twin Docs on Instagram and Facebook.
