Advanced breast cancer, also called metastatic breast cancer, is a severe and sometimes fatal disease. 

Advanced breast cancer arises when cancer cells move from the breast to other body regions, such as the bones, liver, lungs, or brain. Although this cancer is incurable, it may be treated to help control symptoms and extend life.

Palliative care is a form of care that tries to enhance the quality of life of people suffering from severe diseases by providing symptom management, emotional and spiritual support, and communication with the healthcare team.

It is vital to remember that numerous criteria, including the disease stage, kind of cancer, and general health of the patient, will determine the treatment strategy for advanced breast cancer. Your healthcare team will collaborate with you to create a personalized treatment plan for your needs.

It is also critical to remember that the objective of advanced breast cancer therapy is not to cure the illness but to assist control symptoms and to extend lives. With good treatment and care, many patients with advanced breast cancer may survive for many years.
