For someone like me who struggles with adult acne, this sounds like a miracle! According to Joshua Zeichner, the director of cosmetic and clinical research of the dermatology department of New York City’s Mount Sinai Hospital, “If you are acne-prone, rubbing a dirty phone on your skin can lead to breakouts by pushing dirt and oil into your pores. This new glass could help reduce the amount of harmful microbes on the phone’s surface and help minimize the risk of infections, folliculitis, and the spreading of bacteria.”
The Axon screen is intended to protect your phone against stain-and odor-causing bacteria.

There has been no word on the cost of this new technology, but I would imagine it comes with a hefty price tag. With normal smartphones ranging from $300-800 these days, I would prepare to pay a month and a half worth of rent for these germ-zapping phones.
If you are in a rush to try this technology out now, you may opt for the phone cases already out on the market that promise to offer the same results. Brands like iSkin offer a variety or products that include another technology called Microban. It is also said to ward of bacterial growth.
