2025 Breast Cancer Awareness Month Events To Mark Your Calendar For!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Mark your calendar, grab your sneakers — and your pink ribbons — for these events that are taking place in cities across the country. Living with Breast Cancer is challenging for all men and women who have been diagnosed. However, statistically, Black women are more likely to be diagnosed later and to have worse outcomes than white women due to inequities in our healthcare system. (Download BlackDoctor’s Black Woman’s Guide to Beating Breast Cancer) This month, lace up, make a donation, attend a gala — or all of the above in your community. These walks and events are more than “fun runs”, the proceeds raised from these events not only help fund research for a cure, they also provide important free screenings and raise awareness on breast cancer statistics, self-exams, early detection and treatment options right in the communities that need them most. Here’s a list of major events. Check in your area for even more local ones to truly make a difference this October and all year round.
