can happen. It happens to 1/270 men. A routine check for hard lumps, abnormal growths, or anything that looks irregular in your scrotal area should be checked out. Testicular cancer can be cured if caught early. Testicular cancer is when the cells inside in the testicle divide abnormally and create a tumor. You might also notice the following symptoms:
- enlarged or swollen testicles that may or may not be painful,
- achy, heavy feelings in the lower back, groin or stomach regions
It’s best to perform your routine check in the shower. Cup your balls and softly rub one testicle at a time using your thumb and index finger. Your actual testicle, not the scrotum should feel smooth. Consult your doctor if you find anything out of that norm.
