Smooth Criminal: Get Away With Shaving Your Legs Less Often

womans legs raisedShaving is a tedious, routine task that we all love to hate. If you enjoy having smooth legs, there is nothing worse than the stubble that comes popping back up days later. What if I told you there were a few things that you could do to make your shave last a bit longer? Hairless legs can be great, but not when you have to shave them daily! Try these quick tips in order to keep your shaving to a minimum.

Exfoliate your skin first.

Get a great skin scrub and exfoliate your skin prior to grabbing your razor. The exfoliator will help remove dead skin cells, and will also force the short hairs to push further out from underneath the surface of the skin. This will give you smoother skin and a closer shave.

Use a good razor.

Choosing the proper razor is actually more important than you probably think. A good razor will make your shave last much longer and will leave your skin feeling great! If you have dry skin, make sure you get a razor with a moisture strip. If you have coarse hair, opt for a razor with multiple blades.

Shave upward.

The best place to begin your shave is at your ankles. Shave your legs upwards going against the direction your hair grows. This will give you the absolute closest shave possible, keeping the stubble away longer.

Moisturize.

Once you’re done, make sure you apply a moisturizer to your skin. It’s best to do this while your skin is still damp. In between shaves, moisturize daily. This will keep your skin soft and smooth.

Happy shaving!
