2025 Breast Cancer Awareness Month Events To Mark Your Calendar For!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Mark your calendar, grab your sneakers — and your pink ribbons — for these events that are taking place in cities across the country. Living with Breast Cancer is challenging for all men and women who have been diagnosed. However, statistically, Black women are more likely to be diagnosed later and to have worse outcomes than white women due to inequities in our healthcare system. (Download BlackDoctor’s Black Woman’s Guide to Beating Breast Cancer) differs from other cultures due to disparities in our healthcare system. These walks and events are more than “fun runs” or walks, proceeds raised from these events not only help funds research for a cure, but they also offer free screenings and aim to raise awareness on breast cancer statistics, self-exams, early detection and treatment options, and more. Lace up, make a donation, attend a gala — or all of the above. Check in your area for even more local fundraising to make a difference this October and all year round.
