Dr. Ozuru O. Ukoha encourages lung cancer patients to consider clinical trials as a treatment option, highlighting the rapid progress in lung cancer research. He emphasizes the importance of utilizing available resources to increase diversity in clinical trials, especially among minorities who may be unaware of their significance. By participating in clinical trials, individuals offer the potential for positive outcomes such as new treatment options and improved healthcare understanding. Dr. Ukoha particularly stresses the importance of African American participation in lung cancer clinical trials to enhance representation and health outcomes within the community. Through education and awareness, he aims to improve access to advanced therapies for all patients.
