If you remember, Williams made a big splash with his hit “I’m Dreamin'” and in the movie, New Jack City with Ice-T and Wesley Snipes.
Williams had a number of songs chart high on the U.S. R&B charts during the late 1980’s and early 1990’s, including hits like “Talk to Myself,” “Promises, Promises,” and “Every Little Thing You Do.” Williams has released four studio albums since his debut in 1989.
After a 6-year hiatus in music, he began doing some contributing work for other artists and movie soundtracks.
He has credits films Bulletproof, Butter, and Gunmen.
At the end of 1994, Williams was also part of the group Black Men United for the hit single “U Will Know” for the film Jason’s Lyric and its movie’s soundtrack album.
While we don’t know yet what put Williams in a coma, a follower commented under Al B.’s post saying that the New Jack Swing singer contracted COVID-19 last week, but this hasn’t been confirmed.
