embrace womanhood.
“I like all of the scary feelings that come with that. I like the suspense, the not knowing what’s going to happen, and I feel like that’s what I’m supposed to be going through in womanhood,” she said.
Despite her celebrity status, Bailey has maintained a private personal life and had not confirmed her pregnancy until now despite speculation from fans.
In November, Bailey responded to a fan on Snapchat who alleged that she had a “pregnancy nose” in a recent photo.
“Listen, if I see one more person say something about my nose one more time, it’s going to be hell to pay,” the 23-year-old singer shared in a video. “You know why? Because I’m Black. I love my nose. What are you concerned about my nose for? Leave me the hell alone.”
Last year, the “Angel” singer credited her ability to prioritize her mental health to growing up in the public eye and touring with her older sister, Chloe, at 13.
“We would constantly be in a different place like every other day, and I would have to be doing school on the road,” she says. “Those are like the years we’re like, starting to feel all these emotions and you get your period. And it’s like, ‘Wow, what is happening?'” she says adding that the time was a formative period for her mental health. “It was just a priority for me that I had to learn how to organize the compartments in my brain, especially when you have a lot going on.”
