Singer and actress, Halle Bailey, recently welcomed a precious bundle of joy into her life with her boyfriend, rapper DDG. Their first child, a son named Halo, has brought immense joy to the couple.
Bailey shared the heartwarming news on Instagram, accompanying it with a touching photo of her hand holding her newborn son’s hand, which was adorned with a delicate gold bracelet bearing the name “Halo.” In her caption, she expressed her gratitude for the arrival of her son, calling him her “halo” and expressing her excitement for the world to know him.
“Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.. welcome to the world my halo 🥰👼🏽 ✨the world is desperate to know you 😉🤣♥️,” she captioned the photo.
DDG also spoke on the birth of his son, with the same photo on his Instagram on Saturday, writing, “my biggest blessing by far” and that he’s “never been so in love.”
“The Color Purple” actress and DDG, have been together for over a year, making their relationship public in March 2022.
In a previous interview with PEOPLE, Bailey spoke about her relationship with DDG, describing it as a transformative experience that has inspired her upcoming solo album.
“You know, you have puppy love experiences, you think that’s love. But this is my first deep, deep, real love,” the singer said of her relationship with DDG.
“This has been a really beautiful transformative time for me. I have all this new material to write about,” the R&B star continued. “It’s like, What the heck did I just experience and go through? A whirlwind of amazingness. You never know what you’re capable of until you’re put through it. I was very creatively inspired, and then from there, I fell in love. And so I really just played with those themes in my music.”
