What is emu oil?

Emu oil derives from adipose, or fatty, tissue of the emu bird, which is a native Australian flightless bird that reminds you of an ostrich.

The fatty acids in emu oil reduce inflammation and pain caused by inflammation. It is like mineral oil when applied to your skin, working as a moisturizer, varying anywhere from a creamy off-white texture to a thin yellow liquid.

How is emu oil made?

Omega 3 and omega 6, the fatty acids in emu oil, increase the production of eicosanoids, which help in healing our skin and reducing inflammation, in our bodies.
