(BlackDoctor.org) — Tia has a message for all the women who feel the grand pressure to snap back to their old size immediately after having a baby: take your time.
“The more time you spend in the gym is more time you’re spending away from your baby. So take your time,” she said in an interview with People magazine. ”Don’t rush and listen to your instincts. If you try to control everything, you’ll go crazy because nothing goes according to plan all the time when a child is involved.”

Get a Plan
Like other celeb mothers including Jennifer Hudson and Mel B, Tia tapped into a weight-loss plan to help get her on track: a gourmet food delivery program called Freshology. Of course a weight-loss program isn’t the only tactic, but the program helped Tia learn portion control, lose weight and save time with meals already mapped out.
Now, Walk It Out
“I would do a lot of walking,” Tia said. Over the past few months she’s been spotted on power walks around her neighborhood, and often bringing along a few extra tools for motivation: headphones to keep her going (Rick Ross and Lil Wayne help get her in a zone), a weighted backpack to pick up the intensity and even a workout buddy.
