… seriously. “He was about music 24/7,” says 7 Aurelius. “It was surprising for people to see how talented Tyrin really was, from instruments to the melodies in his head. I encouraged him to write because his ear was crazy.”
Still, Turner’s rapping on the Geto Boys’ “Dawn 2 Dusk” and Scarface’s “Menace N*ggas Never Die” was nothing like his acting. It was artificial, inauthentic, and rhythmless.
So fast-forward to where we are today.
Now Turner is back in the land of Hollywood doing films, and videos here and there while working on bigger projects to come. After his noteworthy performance, he landed roles in films like Panther and Belly. In 2020, he appeared in Fatale, which starred Michael Ealy and Hillary Swank. He also played Rico in the Meet the Blacks franchise.
Aside from his success as an actor, Tyrin Turner has also ventured into directing and writing. He directed the film “Chicago Pulaski Jones” and co-wrote the screenplay for the gritty crime drama “South Central,” further demonstrating his creative talents.
His social media is a throwback of some of his favorite music along with his collaboration with celebrity friends and his love for his family, including his daughter.
Wherever life takes him, Turner’s signature smile is still one of the best in Hollywood.
