… you haven’t eaten before (gluten, nuts, soy, etc.). That’s one of the good parts of at least trying a vegan diet. You can take out stuff and slowly add back in recipes and foods to see what triggers your body positively and negatively.
Many people also say that I’ve had shinier skin and nails too.
Things Will Start To Taste Different
Dietary zinc helps your tongue keep its potency, and it’s a vital mineral for your sense of taste. However, it’s found primarily in red meat and oysters, both of which are obviously off limits to vegans. Maintain your taste buds during this new dietary choice by taking a zinc supplement. Just make sure it’s made from an animal-free source of zinc!
You Will Probably Lose 5%-10% of Your Body Weight
Since whole plant-based foods are naturally lower in calories, many people experience weight loss upon going vegan, but this isn’t necessarily so. Remember, there is no magic bullet when it comes to weight loss, it all depends on what and how much you eat.
If you keep your diet full of vegetables, fruits, legumes, nuts, olive oil and make sure you eat everything in moderation, chances are you’ll lose weight.
But…french fries are also vegan and there are a lot of pre-packaged vegan foods. So be careful of pre-packaged and processed vegan foods that are becoming more popular. Remember, everything in moderation and try to get as simple as possible with your ingredients.
