BlackDoctor.org’s Women’s Health Summit (May 2022) held an in-depth discussion focused on issues and conditions impacting the health and wellness of black women. Attendees were able to gain insights to help them prolong their life and the life of their families. This summit was jam-packed with panels featuring some of the top black health experts and health advocates covering a variety of health and wellness topics such as beauty, self-care, family care and much more.
The “Staying Connected to Your Pharmacist”, hosted by BDO’s own, Ellis Dean, and Dr. Renee had a fun and entertaining conversation about how staying connected to healthcare providers, such as pharmacists, can make a huge difference in your family’s health. Walgreen’s pharmacist, Dr. Shauna Markes-Wilson also made an appearance and shed light on the black patient experience and how having a relationship with a pharmacist can improve these experiences.
