Going away for college is some of our first time adulting. We’re accustomed to being told what to do, how to do it, and when to do it without any thought.
Now is the time to take the right steps to be educated about our health. What can trigger it, when should you go to the doctor, etc.
As college students, we should take the right precautions to know our bodies and how to take care of them properly.
Being Proactive In Coping With Chronic Illness
Stock up on your medication. Along with being knowledgeable about your body and your illness, you should be prepared for the worst.
Go to your doctor appointments to ensure you’re up to date with things. Preparing for the worst-case scenario could also include knowing where the nearby hospitals, clinics, etc.
Practicing Self-Care
You cannot properly learn and grow in college if you aren’t taking care of yourself. You should always practice self-care because your health goes first.
