7 Turnoffs Men Wish Women Knew

turnoffs for men

Many women think that all they have to do is look sexy, have a sexy body and then they'll keep the guy interested all day and night. Wrong.

There are things that women do that can turn a man off in a heartbeat and even ruin his sexual appetite.

7 Turnoffs for men

Here are seven of the most common turnoffs men mention they wish women would stop doing.

1. Treating your social media accounts like it's your job.

If you care more about what Snapchat or Instagram posts are being shared than real life, then there is a problem.

Although, to be fair, sometimes checking social media may be your job. In that case, you really should treat it as so because being fired is not the greatest.

If not, don't keep picking up your phone every few minutes just to check out what your girls are doing, what the latest reality star is wearing, or the next viral video. It's not THAT serious.

2. Trying to get him to act jealous.

That said, I read a relationship advice book once that said it's imperative to make a guy a little jealous so he'll put a ring on it. Maybe Beyoncé inspired it, who knows? But with all that said, trying to get a guy by having another guy may be problematic. Many times, women may hear that a man needs to see that he's not your only option. But there is a way to do it.

If you haven't started taking notes, pull out the pad and paper now. The key is to not make him jealous of the next man, but to make sure he re-thinks his decision to spend time with someone else. It doesn't have to do with another guy but what you do with your time.

Be sure to do what it is you want to do but not put it in his face, because then it will seem forced and fake. The next thing to do is be confident that this is the guy you want to do it for.

Nothing is worse than when you try to make the wrong guy jealous and it ends up backfiring on you.

3. Name Dropping

Few things are more boring or tiresome than listening to someone who keeps ranting about this person or that person that they've met, talked to, partied with or tried to hit on. In a man's mind, that's not going to impress him, it's just letting him know that all you care about is this guy or that girl that you barely know. If you like him, there's no need to impress him with names here and there, just be yourself and let him see the real you.

4. Excessive Obsession

Infatuation is another feminine trait that is found to be as critical as the turnoffs mentioned above. Normally, girls think that what turns men off is the hesitation of girls moving in with them.

However, they do not realize that men also hate when girls get obsessed with them and demand to suddenly live together under the same roof and get married. Every guy likes attention and progress in the relationship but at a gradual pace. But when girls are infatuated beyond a guy's limits, the guys get eventually frightened away.

5. Not reciprocating

Reciprocation comes in all forms, not just money, gifts or sexual acts, it's all about the feeling behind the act and the desire to do something for the other person regardless if they did something or not.

Take, for example, if someone gives you a gift from the heart, you don't have to give him a gift, but maybe cook for him or do something that makes his life a little easier. If a man goes out of his way to make you feel special, he just wants to know that you're all in too.

6. Worry about the small stuff (not looking at the BIG picture).

This one gets to me the most. We need more women to ask themselves, "Does it really matter in the long run?" If a woman liked your man's picture on social media, but he never talks to her, never suggests anything sexual to her and professes his love for you openly on social media, does it really matter?

Going out of your way to put this woman "in her place" only makes you look a little unhinged and undesirable. Let the small stuff go if it doesn't matter because lions don't worry about the opinions of sheep.

7. Not complimenting him on how he looks

Ok, we get it. Yes, men are visual creatures and it is important to us that our women look nice. Women want to hear it from their men and other women, but what about men? As hunters, men want to go after the prize, but after we get it, things can be stale.

It's good to see when a woman wants a man and compliments him as well, especially when you have children because they can take the sexiness out of everything (can I get an Amen?)! Take the time to write him a note, get him a card, and send him a sexy text message to let him know you still do it for him too.

This is just my two cents...
