Nobody can argue with Sean "Diddy" Combs hustle. He seems to always be working, hustling and just celebrated his 50th birthday party with a lavish event. From events, to music, to liquor brands, to parenting, if you take a look at his social media, Diddy is rarely sitting still. But a medical issue has required the awarding-winning performer to take a rest.
As hospital staff prepared for surgery, Diddy shared the news in a series of videos posted to Instagram.
“I just found out yesterday, they squeezed me in for today,” he said about the rush procedure, which caused him to miss a scheduled public appearance in San Francisco. “Pray for ya boy, I’m gonna see you all next time and make it up y’all.”
Diddy admitted that the injury stemmed from his accident-prone nature, which is hard to believe for the award-winning dancer.
“I’m clumsy. I trip. I fall. I fall in holes. It’s always been like that,” he shared. “This is unbelievable…I did it to myself by accident.”
“This is my fourth surgery in two years," Diddy continues. "I’ve had two rotator cuffs, a knee replacement, and now it’s on quad,” Diddy added.
“At the end of the day, this is God’s work to slow me down, take better care of [my] body and eat right—and just stop treating my body like a machine,” he confessed.
“I just wanna be honest with ya and say to everybody else that’s clumsy and accident-prone, I pray for you,” he said. “Pray for me. This is gonna be my last surgery, I promise.”
After sharing clips of his doctor shaving his leg in preparation for surgery, Diddy ended his health update with an inspirational message for...
... the group of children that created a viral video that got the attention of Diddy on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
The group of kids kids have either beaten cancer or are still battling cancer. In the song "Bad Boy for Life," rapper Diddy says, 'We ain't going nowhere" -- and now, those words are the inspiration for these group of young cancer patients.
“You guys are truly inspiring me now,” he said to the inspiring group of youngsters.
He added, “Never give up. Praise. Peace.”
