Candy makers Mars Wrigley Confectionery U.S, LLC is recalling certain varieties of SKITTLES® Gummies, STARBURST® Gummies, and LIFE SAVERS® Gummies because of the potential presence of a very thin metal strand embedded in the gummies or loose in the bag.
The company received reports from consumers alerting them to this matter and but they are not aware of any illnesses to date.
Products were manufactured by a third party and distributed in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The company received reports from consumers about the metal strips and said it hasn’t received any reports of illness. The recall affects regular and sour flavors.
Mars Wrigley didn’t say when the products were made or sold or how many units of candy might be affected. So you should even look at all of your bags of candy in your home--both new and old.
