preferred me as a full-figured woman. In those moments, it’s important to remind yourself of why you started your journey. It’s never for the approval of others, but to be happy in your own skin.
BDO: What were some of the key things you had to incorporate into your life to lose the weight? What are some of the things you’re doing now to help keep it off?
JJ: I live a very active lifestyle. Fitness is my life and I communicate that with my followers via social media. I work out 5-6 times per week with a mixture of weight lifting and cardio. In addition, I maintain a healthy diet to keep the weight off.
BDO: If you could give vital advice to anyone who wants to also make the lifestyle change, what would you tell them?
JJ: I tell women all the time to go at your own pace. My journey to losing over 50 pounds was a slow progression. Along the road, you learn how to properly eat for your body and needs. This is so vital to maintaining your results. Remember; health is a marathon NOT a sprint. It doesn’t matter who made it to the finish line first, just as long as you made it.
