With fitness apps, running apps, virtual training, and the least expensive of them all, your own home the options are endless. With Summer right around the corner, here are some helpful gym alternatives to get the body you want.
The Home Gym
Create your own home gym with little to no money. If you don’t want to spend money utilize Pinterest. Pinterest is your ultimate guide to getting fit at home with or without equipment. Pinterest has workout guides that target belly fat, buttocks, arms, muscles; you name it they’ve got it.
If you have gallon jugs of water use them for arm lifts, use a chair for incline push-ups and chair dips. If you are willing to spend a little bit of cash, find your local Five and Below where you can purchase dumbbells, toning balls, jump ropes, and fitness balls all for $5 and under. If you have a larger budget, you can order equipment from Amazon from treadmills to indoor cycling bikes and get the same intense workout you would have gotten at the gym, but for a fraction of the cost.
Fitness Apps
Fitness apps are another alternative to going to the gym. The 7 Minute Workout is afavorite of mine. You get 12 thirty-second-high intensity exercises with ten-second rest in between. Do three reps and you’re done in as little as 21 minutes. Runkeeper is another great app if you enjoy running.
Runkeeper tracks your run, route, and helps you build up to running long distance. If you are wanting to train for a marathon this is the app for you. There are so many other apps available to choose from; your app store is there for a reason and you’d be surprised at the gems right at your fingertips.
Virtual Trainers YouTube and On Demand
The new trend in the fitness industry is virtual personal trainers. Instead of hiring a physical personal trainer, many people are opting for a virtual personal trainer and training in the comfort of their own home. Virtual personal trainers are there to assist you in reaching your fitness goals and transforming your lifestyle.
Online trainers teach you how to exercise correctly and eat right. The typical services offered include, but are not limited to health and wellness coaching, meal plans, and tailored workout programs to fit your individual needs.
While online personal training comes at a cost there are still online options to working out like YouTube. There are many fitness instructors and enthusiasts on YouTube teaching yoga, cardio, strength training, and more.
There are many options for getting fit in 2018, what alternative will you be using? Get creative and use your resources to get the body and health you want.
