6 Oils To Help Heal Scars Naturally

No matter how old you are, chances are you may have developed a good collection of scars on your body. Some scars may have come from burns, acne, cuts, surgery incisions, or scrapes after falling off the monkey bars. 1. Tea Tree Essential Oil

Tea tree oil, also known as Melaleuca, is a powerful essential oil. This oil derives from an Australian plant and is found in many skin products that are known to help heal dry skin and treat acne, psoriasis and eczema. Tea tree essential oil is a strong and effective antioxidant that has the ability to improve the skin by reducing blemishes, lines and scars. When tea tree essential oil is used regularly with a carrier oil, it can not only greatly reduce the appearance of scars, but also tighten and smooth the skin as well.

2. Lemon Essential Oil

Lemon oil is a multi-purpose essential oil that has been used for hundreds of years as a cleaner and disinfectant, skin tonic, astringent, immune system booster, and a list of other beneficial uses. With high levels of vitamin C, lemon essential oil’s ability to function as an immune system booster is an important piece in skin repair and regeneration.

3. Lavender Essential Oil

This essential oil not only smells beautiful, but it is also one of the best essential oils for scars and blemishes. Also known as Lavandula, Lavender oil has antibacterial and antifungal properties that can help reduce the overall appearance of scars. One of nature’s most gentle oils, lavender essential oil can be used for new cuts, blemishes, or burns to help promote healing immediately, or it can be used for existing scars to help decrease their appearance in size.

4. Carrot Seed Essential Oil

This essential oil is an excellent remedy for healing scars. Carrot seed essential oil’s benefits include its properties as an antiseptic, disinfectant, antioxidant, detoxifying, anti-carcinogenic, diuretic, stimulant, and tonic, among a list of other amazing benefits.

The high level of antioxidants in carrot seed essential oil protects the skin from wrinkles, improves skin tone and elasticity, and reduces fine lines. Just like tea tree essential oil, you can find carrot essential oil listed in quite a few beauty products.

5. Neroli Essential Oil

This essential oil requires a lot of work to produce one pound of oil (including hand-picking nearly one thousand pounds of blossoms).

As a result of the work required to make this oil, it is more expensive compared to the other essential oils, but the benefits are worth it.

Neroli essential oil has a wonderful scent and some amazing astringent and antibacterial properties that make it a staple in anyone’s beauty arsenal.

This essential oil is not only an excellent aid in lightening new or old scars and treating acne, but bacterial skin issues and rashes can be treated, too.

When incorporated into your daily beauty routine, Neroli essential oil can reduce the appearance of stretch marks and reduce the appearance of your scars.

6. Rosehip Seed Oil

The only carrier oil listed, rosehip seed oil, has a ton of delicious benefits for the skin.
