Yes! You’ve lost a large amount of weight and are proud! But now you have this extra skin hanging off of your body and it seems as though its taking too long to get rid of it: so what do you do? Surgery, right? Well, after years of being overweight, Marcia Thomas, a proud grandmother at age 53, was thrilled when she managed to shed nearly 100 lbs courtesy of a healthy diet and plenty of exercise.
But despite spending hours in the gym trying to tone, her upper arms remained flabby reminding her of her former body–something she was trying to forget.
Marcia decided to pay for surgery in Belgium to remove her “bat wings”, and was left devastated when she discovered that not only had the surgeon failed to remove any flab, he’d left her arms badly scarred.

“I’m really angry with the surgeon and I wish I hadn’t had the surgery,’ she admits. ‘I can’t even bear to look at my arms – I feel like a freak!”
Initially tipping the scales at nearly 260lbs, she slowly but surely managed to lose weight through diet and exercise and says she was thrilled with the results.
“I felt great for it – I looked good as well,” she reveals. “My clothes looked good on me and the only downside of it was the skin on my arms.”
